 HINT:  This artist was born in Richmond, Virginia in USA in1903. This artist painted in the Social Realist style. He spent most of his life in New York City. He was one of the first white artist to create art with African American people and did so in a style that was modernist with many geometric forms and bold coloration. His wife was a photographer and his son is an architect.
